Letter confirming that John Cumenin, who served under him on HMS Mermaid from January 1798 to July 1799 and on HMS Loire from July 1799 to Jamuary 1800 was fully qualified for his position and deserves notice. Peter Deshamp was in HMS Loire for a short time in the year 1800 but his conduct was always good. Cyprian Glemor also served in HMS Loire in the year 1800. He is an excellent Pilot who was recommended by the Prince of Bouillon but requires strict lookin after to avoid alcohol excess. Jean Prince served on board HMS Loire in 1801 and part of 1800.
