Folio 160: Thomas New, Regulating Officer, Swansea. Reports that Lieutenant Bennett was dispatched to Cardiff with the assistance of a Midshipman and has procured 19 men, with the assistance of the Chief Magistrate and the Commanding Officer of the Glamorgan Militia stationed there. He regrets not informing The Admiralty in advance, which he shuld have done as Cardiff is beyond the distance of his limits. He will be requesting a travel allowance for the Lieutenant and Midshipman. Lieutenant Bennet has reported receiving great assistance from teh Glamargon Militia.
