Folio 156: Thomas New, Regulating Officer, Swansea. Acknowledges the letter of 2 April with the blank Protections for vessels carrying coal to Cornish mines. Reports that the seal of the Admiralty Office has been omitted in 5 of them, and the Masters are reluctant to accept them. He returns them for correction. There are 12 more vessels than he has Protections for, and their owners have requested similar Protections.
