Folios 119-120: Martin Nevile, HMS Port Mahon, Poole. Acknowledges the letter of 4 April, and encloses an order from Captain O'Neill, Regulating Officer, to proceed to Swanage. The order he received from Lord Gardner did not indicate that he should put himself under Captain O'Neill's orders, but to act with him to raise men. Requests clarification.
Folio 121: enclosure with folios 119-120. Copy order dated 7 April 1803 signed by Terence O'Neill, Rendezvous, Poole to Captain Martin Nevile, HMS Port Mahon. Order to proceed immediately to Swanage, taking under his command Lieutenant Chapman, in command of the Troop of 14 Light Dragoons, with 30 men. To press seamen and others taking care to avoid riots or disturbances. To then returrn to Poole or Portsmouth.
