Folios 87-88: Robert Jenner Neve, HMS Hazard, Torbay. Reports that John Hill, who was appointed Midshipman, arrived on board on 27 [?December]. He was late joining because he had lost his certificate and could not pass his exam for Lieutenant in November. On his return to Portsmouth on 6 December, he went on board HMS Neptune at Spithead and remained there until 23 December when he took a passage boat to join. Encloses the state and condition report for his ship [not present].
