Folios 315-316: James Nash, Regulating Captain, Leith Rendezvous. Reports that the two men the Admiralty is enquiring about, William English and Harry Hills, were not impressed by him and must have been taken by Captain George McKinley of HMS Roebuck and sent to the Nore.
Folios 317-318: enclosed with folios 315-316. Letter dated 6 December 1803 from William English and Harry Hills, HMS Winchelsea, the Nore, to the Admiralty. Report they were impressed at Leith despite being Sea Fencibles under the command of Captain William Shield, enclose [not present] their protection certificates. They have applied to Rear Admiral Bartholomew Samuel Rowley to be discharged.
