Folios 267-268: James Nash, Regulating Captain, Leith Rendezvous. Reports that HMS Chiffone had sailed before he received the Admiralty's letter, so he could not question the Boatswain about the ship's Main Topsail and Mizzen Staysail. Encloses a report on the Chiffone's other sails and a second on the stores returned by HMS Escort.
Folio 269: enclosed with folios 267-268. Report dated 29 October 1803 on sails returned by HMS Chiffone, Captain Charles Adams, to HM Naval Yard, Leith, as unserviceable and then re-surveyed by Regulating Captain James Nash.
Folio 271: enclosed with folios 267-268. Report dated 29 October 1803 on stores returned by Lieutenant William Peake, HMS Escort, to HM Naval Yard, Leith, as unserviceable and then re-surveyed by Regulating Captain James Nash.
