Folios 197-198: James Nash, Regulating Captain, Leith Rendezvous. Reports that Andrew Miller, the boy referred to in W W Moncrieff's application, entered at the rendezvous on 16 June as a Boy 3rd Class and was sent to the Nore in the Princess Royal Revenue cutter two days later. Acknowledges receipt of the letters concerning the Musselburgh fishermen as well as Mr Maitland's letter about the herring fishery. Encloses a letter signed by the commanders of the Revenue vessels Royal Charlotte and Princess Royal, asking how they are to be paid for the provisions they have issued to the newly-raised men they have been transporting, and also [not present] a resolution from Shetland which was omitted from his last letter.
Folios 199-200: enclosed with folios 197-198. Letter dated 15 July 1803 from Lawrence Brown and Charles Elder, Masters of the Royal Charlotte and Princess Royal, Revenue Cutters, Leith, to Regulating Captain James Nash, Leith. Ask how they are to be repaid for the provisions they have issued to men they were transporting to the Nore.
Folios 201-202: enclosed with folios 197-198. Letter dated 12 July 1803 from W W Moncrieff, Temple, to the Admiralty. Encloses an indenture for Andrew Miller, who has been impressed at Leith, and who is only 14 years old. Asks for any reply to be sent to Dr Stoddart, 8 Bell Yard, Doctors Commons.
