Description

Folios 178-179: James Nash, Regulating Captain, Leith Rendezvous. Suggests that before the officers are being appointed to command the Sea Fencibles begin issuing protections, that he should be allowed to request that the local fishermen provide a quota of men for the Impress Service. Encloses letters from the Earl of Killig and Major General J Weymss supporting this suggestion, and says he will take up General Weymss' suggestion of a press on the Fife coast.

Folios 182-183: enclosed with folios 178-179. Letter dated 6 July 1803 from the Earl of Kllig, Cambe House, Crail, to Regulating Captain James Nash, Leith.
