Folios 157-158: James Nash, Regulating Captain, Leith Rendezvous. Reports that he has interviewed the Master of the City of Dantzig, who says that while on passage to Leith on June 3 he sighted an 84-gun French ship accompanied by a cutter in the Naze of Norway which hailed him in French and asked where he was bound. He noted that men aboard the French vessels were wearing red caps. The Dantzig's mate and the vessel's log confirm his version.
