Folios 143-144: James Nash, Regulating Captain, Leith Rendezvous. Encloses a letter from Lieutenant James Bennett asking for an appointment afloat. If the Admiralty agrees, suggests Lieutenant John Hadaway to replace him.
Folios 145-146: enclosed with folios 143-144. Letter dated 25 May from Lieutenant James Bennett, Leith Rendezvous, to Regulating Captain James Nash. Recalls that during the last war he had command of HMS Mosquito on the Jamaica Station until she was sold at Port Royal and he returned to England. He now wishes to take up another appointment as Lieutenant and Commander, asks Captain Nash to recommend him to the Admiralty.
