Folio 251: Christopher John Williams Nesham, HMS La Suffisante, Plymouth. Advising of his arrival from the Seven Islands and enclosing copies of his orders from [Charles] Cunningham of HMS Clyde plus his Defects List.
Folios 252-253: enclosure with folio 251. Defects List for HMS La Suffisante dated 13 June 1801 at Sea by Commander Christopher John Williams Nesham to the Admiralty. List of Defects signed by the Captain C J W Nesham and William Cole Carpenter.
Folio 253: enclosure with folio 251. Copy of Orders given by Charles Cunningham on board HMS Clyde at Sea dated 13 June 1801 to [Christopher John Williams] Nesham Commander of HMS La Suffisante. To proceed to Plymouth Sound in 14 days and deliver a copy of your defects to the Port Admiral there, also advising the Admiralty. In addition, to make a speedy refitting of your Ship and, when ready for Sea, to proceed and Cruize off the Station that has previously been given. Admiral Sir Thomas Pasley Bart is also mentioned.
