Folios 183-184: Clementson and Denton [Agents -14] Clement's Inn, [London]. Enclosing a Commission by Lord Keith appointing Lieutenant James [Murray] Northey to be Commander of HMS Lutine and requesting Confirmation of this position.
Folios 185-186: enclosure with folios 183-184. A Commission dated 2 November 1800 by the Right Honourable Lord Keith Knight of the Bath Vice Admiral of the Red and Commander in Chief of His Majesty's Ships and Vessels employed and to be employed in the Mediterranean on board HMS Foudroyant Gibraltar to Lieutenant James [Murray] Northey of HMS Carmen appointing him until further notice as Acting Commander of HMS Lutine. Directing him to take over Command of HMS Lutine until further notice from Honourable George [Heneage Laurence] Dundas, currently Acting Commander who has been appointed to Act as Commander of HMS Calpe. Also signed By Command of the Vice Admiral by [Nicholas Brown?].
