Folios 78-79: James Newman Newman, HMS Loire, Plymouth. Reporting on the Cases of 2 men as directed by Sir A Gardner. Advising that these men were sent on board his Ship at Cork with orders from Admiral [Robert] Kingsmill to include them on his Supernumerary List and that they were people who forcibly took the Cartel which brought them over.
Folios 80-81: enclosure with folios 78-79. Letter dated 17 March 1800 from [Lorenze Hansen?] Liverpool to the Admiralty. Stating that the Danish sailor Nils Larson has not yet been discharged. Also asking for Jan Halvorson and William Hansen, who had previously been taken on board an English Letter of Marque and been carried into France, be discharged, having been impressed into HMS Loire under [James] Newman following their release and arrival at Cork.
