Description

Folios 260-261: James Newman, HMS Mermaid, Plymouth. He has been asked by Lord Bridport to give details of a man named Thomas Edwards. He is an American citizen and was discharged from HMS Mermaid on 3 March 1798 on the orders of the Admiralty.
