Folios 256-257: James Newman, HMS Mermaid, Plymouth Sound. He writes that having boarded a ship flying Danish colours coming from Smyrna the customs officers at Plymouth have ordered HMS Mermaid to perform quarantine on the vessel. He has not detected any sickness on board her and so he asks for orders.
