Folios 210-211: Harry Burrard Neale, HMS San Fiorenzo, Weymouth. He spotted a Frigate yesterday and sent out a pigmy cutter to speak to her. He encloses the report which they gave when they returned.
Folio 212: enclosure to folios 210-211. A report signed by Lieutenant William Shepheard dated Monday 1 October 1798. He says he spoke to Captain John West on board HMS Tourterelle. He left Port Antonio on Jamaica on 26 July 1798 in company with HMS Proselyte, Roebuck and Grampus and 103 merchant ships under convoy. She was compelled to leave them on 29 September 1798 because she had become very leaky, making 3 feet of water an hour. the report ends with a list of the ships belonging to the squadron, their commanders and their positions
