Folios 319-320: John Maxwell, HMS Barrosa, St Thomas to Captain Richard Henry Muddle. HMS Columbine. Orders stating he is now under his command and should proceed with him and the convoy. Signals will be given when he is to take the trade bound to Cork, Bristol and up St Georges Channel and see them to their destinations. Once this is done he is to report to the Commander in Chief upon arrival at Spithead. If the convoy breaks up, he is to cruize the area until he is convinced they have passed up the Channel.
