Description

Folios 177-178: Henry Montresor, HMS Dictator, Plymouth. Encloses a letter received from Captain Codd of HMS Trave [folio 179-180] containing a complaint against the owner and Master of the Earl St Vincent Merchant Ship for the Admiralty to consider.

Folios 179-180: enclosure with folios 177-178. Letter dated 28 August 1815 from John Codd, HMS Trave, Quebec to Captain Henry Montresor, HMS Dictator. Reports William White and Hercules Mont who deserted from HMS Trave, have been found onboard the Earl St Vincent Merchant Ship of Montreal. They were taken up on shore with Robert Bogg, Master and James Dunlop owner of the merchant ship. William Shaw and Andrew Gilchrist, both Boys also deserted.
