Folios 245-246: James Mangles, No 15 Surrey Street, Strand. Covering letter for the enclosed receipts for expenses in HMS Racoon.

Folio 247: enclosure with folios 245-246. Letter dated 1 June 1815 by John Cook Carpenter, HMS Racoon, Hamoaze. Received from James Mangles Esq. Acting Commander of HMS Racoon:- Day and Night Private Signals, Telegraph Book, Navel Statutes & Naval Instructions.
