Description

Folios 201-202 Samuel Malbon, Oxford & Cambridge Coffee House, Strand. States Vice Admiral the Honourable Sir Alexander Cochrane having appointed him, in consequence of the Death of Sir Peter Parker and the removals as stated:- Sir Peter Parker - HMS Menelaus - Killed, Captain Kippen - Promoted, Captain White of HMS Thistle removed to HMS Peruvian, Lieutenant Samuel Malbon promoted to HMS Peruvian & removed to HMS Thistle, Captain Montague [James Montagu] of HMS Adder Acting in HMS Thistle and 1st Lieutenant of HMS Adder in Command of her. He requests that he may join HMS Thistle having never had an opportunity of [?] before, in consequence of being on the Expedition to New Orleans.
