Description

Folios 172-173: Samuel Malbon, No 9 Green Row, Portsmouth. States have been superseded from HMS Pandora by Captain William Popham. He requests they confirm his appointment to HMS Thistle an appointment by Sir Alexander Cochrane in the vacancy of Sir Peter Parker deceased.

Folio 174: enclosure with folios 172-173. Warrant dated 1 October 1814 by Sir Alexander Cochrane to Samuel Malbon giving Samuel Malbon the rank of Commander of HMS Peruvian. (Note) This Commission is to give Captain Samuel Malbon his Rank he will command HMS Thistle, vice, Captain James Kearney White removed to HMS Peruvian.
