Folios 44-45: James Arthur Murray, HMS Scout, off Hastings. States some time ago he stated the case of John Brown (3) who was impressed at Sheerness on 5 January 1815. He states that John Brown (3) left the boat while on shore at Hastings - and as he belonged to the Greenland Whale Fishery, he requests they take such measures as may prevent his being again employed in that Service,
