Folios 31-32: MacDowell [James M'Dowal], HMS Brisk, Greenock. Reply to letter dated 5 May 1815 he states John Anderson alias Roderick McLean was impressed from the sloop Thomas by Lieutenant Dove, aged 34 and has been employed by his own confession 18 years as a fisherman.
