Letter dated 10 March 1815 from Michael Moore, late Clerk of HMS Freya, to George McKinley, Captain HMS Namur, stating that he has served as Captain's Clerk on troopships since 4 August 1810, firstly on HMS Latona, then until 12 November 1814 on HMS Freya which was paid off. The duty of a Clerk is not trivial on a troopship.
