Folios 254-255: Rowland Money, 106 High Street, Gosport. Being unable to proceed to London, and needing to move to a quiet place, he is now in Gosport under the care of a surgeon recommended by Dr George Vance, an expert in gunshot wounds, rather than at home near Bristol with his family. He is content to receive any directions.
Folios 256-257: enclosure with folios 249-250. Letter from George Vance, Surgeon of Haslar Hospital, [Gosport] dated 10 March 1815 to the Admiralty, concerning the state of Captain Rowland Money of HMS Trave who was wounded on 8 January [1815] on the right bank of the Mississippi, and came to England in recent days. His fractures will take many months to heal.
