Folios 213-214: Kenneth McKenzie, HMS Venus, Woolwich. Reports that William Berry, ordinary seaman of bad character, has deserted for the fourth time from HMS Venus, on this occasion, when on duty in the Dockyard. On the other three occasions he has been retaken. If the Board agree, this time he could be made an example of, to deter others from similar action. McKenzie would have brought him to a Court Marshall had he recovered him, but HMS Venus is being paid off.
