Folios 227: Kenneth Mackenzie, HMS Venus, Gottenburgh [Gothenburg]. Reporting that on arrival he found the Imperial Russian Majesty's Frigate Amphitrid of forty guns, commanded by Captain [Jooconvieff?] who has sailed from St Petersburgh with orders to place himself under Captain Mackenzie's command. He has brought a letter for Lord Walpole. If the letter contains no instructions respecting the Frigate, and the blockade is ended, Mackenzie will send her back to St Petersburg.
