Folios 130-131: Frederick Lewis Maitland, HMS Goliath, Spithead. Alerting to the fact that Mr William Jeffrey is one of the rural territorial officers.
Folio 132: enclosure with folios 130-131. Letter dated 23 February 1814 by John Borlase Warren appointing William Jeffrey, Gunner of HMS Surprize, as Gunner of HMS Goliath in the place of the invalided Paul Gooderham.
Folios 132-133: enclosure with folios 130-131. Letter dated 13 August 1814 from William Jeffrey on HMS Goliath and Spithead enclosing a copy of his warrant from Sir John Borlase Warren, and requesting confirmation of his appointment.
