Description

Folios 520-521: Sir Richard Hussey Moubray, London. Enclosing letter recommending James Leith his Master at Arms when commanding HMS Repulse.

Folios 522-523: enclosed in folios 520-521. Letter dated 9 July 1814 by James Leith, Supernumerary, HMS Salvador del Mondo. Served since 1795 to 19 October 1803 to present 14 years as Master at Arms HMS Cerce and HMS Repulse. Requesting to purchase his discharge now war with France is ended.
