Description

Folios 381-382: Cover for Cap M202 papers.

Folios 383-394 enclosed in folios 381-382: Captain George Charles Mackenzie, HMS Creole, St Jago. Left Goree after taking water with HMS Arethusa 10th to reconnoitre Cape Verde Islands. Detailed report on ensuing attack of two enemy cruizers by Mayo Island. Captain Eveleigh killed. Reports unremitting attention of medical men. Hopes to buy fresh fruit, vegetables and meat. Sends list of the wounded.

Folios 387-388: enclosed in folios 381-382. Lieutenant John Bulford and Robert Malcolm, Carpenter, HMS Arethusa, 23 January 1814. Defects resulting from action with two French frigates.

Folios 389-390: enclosed in folios 381-382. Lieutenant John Bulford and William Brice [?] Surgeon. List of HMS Arethusa's men killed and wounded in French engagement.

Folios 391-392: enclosed in folios 381-382. Lieutenant John Bulford and Thomas Bralter, Boatswain, HMS Arethusa. Listing damage to rigging.
