Folios 379-380: Robert Mends, Superintendent of Prison ships, Portsmouth. Reply to letter 20 May. Encloses letter from Captain Edward Galway about his expenses for HMS Dryad on Spain's north coast when he was C-in-C [no longer present]. Says he ordered all General Porlin's [?] division to be embarked on the squadron. Says captains had the Spanish Officers at their table. He had the General on HMS Arethusa at £250. Agrees with Captain Galway's expenses.
