Description

Folios 194-195: Donald MacLeod, Liverpool Regulating Captain. reply to letters 26 and 26 February. John Patty, Carpenter age 19 Born Liverpool and Robert Westward age 19 born Liverpool volunteered with Lieutenant Bird. Returns indentures and letter about Henry Dagnell age 19 who volunteered with Lieutenant Timins. Said he was an apprentice, had no papers.

Folios 196-197: enclosure with folios 194-195. Letter dated 23 February 1814 by John Topham, Liverpool. Encloses indenture from John Patty to Thomas Farnworth, Shipwright, Liverpool with affidavit. Requests his discharge.

Folios 198-198A: enclosed in folios 196-197. Letter dated 23 February 1814 by Thomas Farnworth, Shipwright, Liverpool affidavit before Thomas Golightly JP. Has indenture dated 9 May 1811 between John Patty age 14 stepson of Joseph Blundell, Liverpool for seven years who volunteered and is on HMS Princess. Requesting his apprentice back.

Folios 199-200: enclosure with folios 194-195. Letter dated 24 February 1814 by John Williams at Mr Fisher yard, Trantam Street, Liverpool, for his son Robert Westward baptised Robert Westward Williams. Petitions for his discharge, apprentice to John and William James, Shipwrights, Liverpool.

Folios 201-201A: enclosed in folios 194-195. Admiralty note. The discharge application for H, Dagnall sent to Captain MacLeod was in error.

Folios 202-203: enclosed in folios 194-195. George Dagnall petitions for his son Henry Dagnall, second mate, the Christopher belonging to Richard Kitchen, Merchant is impressed on the eve of sailing and is onboard HMS Princess. He supports his sisters and considered himself under protection as he was under sailing orders.
