Description

Folios 378-379: Donald M'Leod [MacLeod], Regulating Officer, Liverpool. Reply to letter dated 25 June 1813 and 26 June 1813. He states [(1)] William Hughes was sent by Lieutenant Eborall from Manchester on 15 June 1813 as a Boy Volunteer aged 14, He remains on HMS Princess. [(2)] Thomas Danish was imprest by Lieutenant Salmon on 6 May 1813 as a Seafaring Landsman aged 19 born in Maryport/ He said he was an Apprentice but no indenture was produced to claim him. He was drafted minto HMS Bittern for passage to Plymouth.

Folio 380: enclosure with folios 376-377. Letter dated 23 June 1813 by Ann Hughes, No 16 Birkcifs Building, Gravel Lane, Salford, Manchester, to the Admiralty. Petition of Ann Hughes for the discharge of William Hughes.

Folios 381-382: enclosure with folios 378-379. Letter dated 21 June 1813 by Joseph Joseph Huddleston, Maryport, to the Admiralty. Reply to letter dated 14 June 1813. He states that Thomas Daniel's Indenture has not appeared at this office. He encloses a affidavit.

Folio 383: enclosure with folios 378-379. Affidavit of David Fletcher Atkinsson of Charyport in Cumberland. Gentleman a Master Extraordinary. Requests the discharge of his apprentice Thomas Daniel.
