Folios 358-359: Robert Maunsell, HMS Chatham, Downs. Reply to letter dated 17 June 1813 enclosing a letter of 14 June 1813 from Thomas Crundell one of the Carpenter's Crew on HMS Chatham requesting an appointment as a Carpenter, He states that Thomas Crundell has served his time as a House Carpenter and Joiner but never to a Shipwright, and by no neans fir for a Carpenter, or in the opinion of the Carpenter of HMS Chatham fit for the position as Carpenter's Mate.
