Description

Folios 334-335: Donald M'Leod [MacLeod], Regulating Officer, Liverpool. Reply to letter dated 14 June 1813, he states:- (1) Thomas Aspinall entered with Lieutenant Salmon on 21 May 1813 as a Landsman Volunteer aged 19 born in Wigan. He denied being being an apprentice. He was drafted in HMS Bittern for passage to Plymouth. (2) William Morris was imprest by Lieutenant Timins on 9 June 1813 as an Ordinary Seaman aged 29 born in Liverpool. He said he had used the DSea two years. He remains on baord HMS Princess.

Folios 336-337: enclosure with folios 334-335. Letter dated 12 June 1813 by William Makinson, Hare Court Temple, to the Admiralty. Covering letter for the enclosed indenture for Thomas Aspinall and an affidavit. Requests he be discharged.

Folio 338: enclosure with folios 334-335. Letter dated 7 June 1813 by James Tyler, Farrier, Wigan, to Donald M'Leod [MacLeod], Regulating Officer. Requests the discharge of his apprentice Thomas Aspinall.

Folios 339-340: enclosure with folios 334-335. Affidavit of Margaret Nelson sworn before Thomas Golightly dated 101 June 1813. The mother of Thomas Aspinall. Requests he be discharged.

Folios 341-342: enclosure with folios 334-335. Letter dated 11 June 1813 by Hannah Morris, Liverpool, to the Admiralty. Requests the discharge of her husband William Morris.
