Folios 297-298: David Milne, HMS Venerable, Spithead. Covering letter for the enclosed letter from Captain Thomas Charteris of the Royal Marines requesting leave of absence for a fortnight which appears to him to be necessary.
Folios 299-300: enclosure with folios 297-298. Letter dated 9 June 1813 by Captain Thomas Charteris, Royal Marines, to David Milne, HMS Venerable. Requests a fortnights leave of absence to go to Cheltenham for the benefit of his health.
