Description

Folios 213-214: Donald M'Leod [MacLeod], Regulating Officer, Liverpool. Reply to your letter dated 15 May 1813 and states the 15 Boys sent from Birmingham that it appears on the Books at the Rendezvous those Boys were received (as stated in the enclosed [not present] List band receipts) to serve in His Majesty's Fleet and have been sent round to Plymouth. He also sends Receipts sent by Mr Payne from Birmingham claiming conduct money & reward after apprending etc. four men who were received and put on board HMS Princess the 1st instant Viz:- William Taylor a Boy aged 16 from HMS Stirling Castle, Portsmouth - Charge is £4-12s-6d. John Chapman a boy aged 17 from HMS Britomart - Charge is £4-12s-6d. George Woodrow a Deserted from HMS Boune aged 19 - Charge is £5-2s-6d. and Robert Moor Landsman said to be a deserter from the Navy, aged 32 but he says he has served his time in a Regular Militia Regiment - Charge is £5-2s-6d. He requests their instructions.
