Folios 182-183: Donald M'Leod [MacLeod], HMS Princess [Regulating Officer], Liverpool. Reply to letter dated 12 May 1813directing him to make enquiry into the accuracy of the statement of Lieutenant James Walton respecting the Communications between the Signal Station under his direction and the one in Formby being interrupted by the building of a Church. In reply he states he has been to the Station at St Domingo and find that Lieutenant James Walton's statement is correct but that he may be walking forty of fifty yards from his house see as well as ever - whether the Flag [?] will be seen from each other cannot be ascertained till the Church is built.
