Folios 215-216: Donald M'Leod [MacLeod], Regulating Officer, Liverpool. Receipt of letter with a list from Admiral Sir Robert Calder of 22 men received from the Liverpool Rendezvous whose ratings have been reduced on survey on board HMS Frederic, directing him to explain why he raised 6 men found unserviceable. He has reduced the ratings and witheld the reward for Thomas Carsley, a Landman Volunteer who was reported fit by the Surgeon there but found unserviceable at Plymouth, The other 5 found unserviceable were snet by Lieutenant Eborall from Manchester.
