Folios 209-210: Kenneth MacKenzie, HMS Venus, Sheerness. When his ship was at the Nore last June he was served with the enclosed paper [not present] which was immediately sent to his agent, directing him to show it to the Admiralty solicitor. Since his return the paper has been sent to him again, stating that Mr Bignal could have nothing to do with it. This process was sent on account of him pressing men from the Hawke privateer on 28 April [1812] which he communicated in his letter to Vice Admiral Otway on 16 June [1812]. Requests the Solicitor to be directed to defend his cause at Westminster on 6 November [1812].
Folio 211 : enclosure with folios 209-210. Paper Office document [numbered CapM594 in red] dated 23 October 1812 received from Captain MacKenzie of HMS Venus on the subject of process served for impressingmen from the Hawke privateer referred to Mr Bicknell on 24 October [1812].
Folio 212: enclosure with folios 209-210. Record Office paper received from Captain MacKenzie on 23 Ocxtober 1812 sent to Mr Croker.
