Description

Folios 192-193: James Wilkes Maurice, HMS Francis, Sheerness. He arrived there today in HMS Francis transport with the Officers, men and boys as on the enclosed list [not present] as directed by Vice Admiral Sir James Saumarez He also encloses lists [not present] of those remaining on the Island, and those in HMS Anholt, as ordered by the Comnmander in Chief.

Folio 194: enclosure with folios 192-193. Letter dated 19 October [1812] from J Barrow. As Captain Maurice, late Governor of Anholt has now arrived it might be rime to pay off the part of HMS Raisonable's complement which consisted of the Naval establishment at Anhold, and he should be ordered to prepare the books accordingly.

Folio 195: enclosure with folios 192-193. Letter dated 28 September 1812 from James Saumarez, HMS Victory, Hawke Roads, to Captain Maurice, HMS Raisonable. Directs him on his arrival at the Nore to discharge all the Warrant Officers and Seamen lately part of the establishment at Anholt from HMS Francis transport into the flag ship to be disposed of as the Lords of the Admiralty may direct.
