Folios 152-153: James Ashley Maude, HMS Nemesis, Spithead. As directed by Vice Admiral Martin's order of 25 [September 1812] he has embarked John Sidman, a Private Marine, on board HMS Nemesis and discharged a Marine in lieu to HMS Pique. John Sidman is a native of America and prefers to go to prison rather than serve against that country. Asks for directions.
