Folios 97-98: William Archibold, Regulating Officer, Liverpool. Regarding three impressed men, James Hamilton, Mate on the William and Ann, John Wilson and John Greer.
Folios 99-100, enclosure with folios 97-98: letter from the Public Office, Liverpool, dated 24 March 1812, containing an affidavit by the Master of the vessel on which Hamilton was a Mate and arguing for his discharge.
Folios 101-102, enclosure with folios 99-100: affidavit by Robert McFie, Master of the vessel William and Ann, stating that James Hamilton was Mate on his vessel.
Folios 103-104, enclosure with folios 97-98: petition dated 24 March 1812 from William Hughes, Master block-maker, stating that John Greer is apprenticed to him; also a signed affidavit, witnessed by the Mayor of Liverpool, swearing that Greer is apprenticed and was never at sea.
