Folios 228-229: Donald McLeod, Regulating Captain, Liverpool. John Holmes was impressed by Lieutenant Evans as an Ordinary seman aged 26 years born in New York. He had a protection certificate but he married a woman named Smith in Trinity Church in 1809 and is a British citizen. William Evans in not on his books, but a man calling himself David Evans was impressed bty Lieutenant Archbold as an Ordinary seaman aged 40 born in Caernarvonshire. He said he was the Master of a Registered Flat. A woman saying she was his sister asked for him by the name of Evans.
