A man has this day been offered as substitute for Owen Hughes, in agreement with their Lordships' directions of 1 June 1810 for his discharge in exchange for 2 landmen delivered to Captain Carter - he says he will keep the man until he knows whether or not the order of 5 December is now cancelled. 3. The case of Thomas Hughes has already been addressed in his letter of 20 July and in the Admiralty reply of 22nd he was informed that as the young man 'had used the sea' he could not be discharged.
