He states (1) The name William Power does not appear on the Books at the Rendezvous. (2) John Hennesey was impressed by Lieutenant James Walker on 8 March 1811. He said he was 17 and born in Charlston but had no protection, he was claimed as an apprentice to an American Vessel but supposing him to be a British subject, he received the Indenture entitled to no respect. The erasures in the protection occasioned him to suspect he was not the person for whom the protection was granted.
