Folios 273-274: Donald M'Leod [Donald MacLeod], Regulating Officer, Liverpool. Reply to letter dated 23 March 1811. He states:- (1) Owen Jones was Impressed by Lieutenant Thomas Evans on 30 December 1810 as an Ordinary Seaman aged 18 born in Wales. He said he belonged to the Constitution Packet, he was taken on shore at 9 o'clock at night. (2) John Jones was delivered up by his Master to Lieutenant Thomas Evans on 9 March 1811 as a Sea Boy (having served more than two years) who said he had left his Service and expressed his wish to surrender the remainder of his Term to His Majesty's Service. He is aged 15 years and born in Wales. (3) The name of Thomas Hartley does not appear on the Books at the Rendezvous. (4) John Wilson was impressed by Lieutenant Thomas Evans on 20 March 1811 as an Ordinary Seaman aged 18 born in Workingham. He acknowledged he had sailed from Workingham to Dublin and from Dublin to Liverpool previous to his being bound. (5) Thomas Lamb was impressed by Lieutenant Henry Raye on 11 March 18911 as an Ordinary Seaman aged 18 born in Liverpool. He said he was an Apprentice but no indenture was produced and it appeared he was just returned on a voyage from Grenada.
Folios 275-276: enclosure with folios 273-274. Letter dated 29 March 1811 by Jane Jones, 11 [?] Street, Liverpool, to the Admiralty. Requests the discharge of her Son Owen Jones.
Folios 277-278: enclosure with folios 273-274. Letter dated 18 March 1811 by Owen Jones, 9 Sick House Lane, Liverpool, to the Admiralty. Requests the discharge of his Son John Jones.
Folios 279-280: enclosure with folios 273-274. Letter dated 21 March 1811 by Samuel Woodcock, [?], Liverpool, to the Admiralty. Covering letter for the Indentures of Thomas Hartley.
Folios 281-282: enclosure with folios 273-274. Letter dated 21 March 1811 by James Brown, No 23 Gilbert Street, Liverpool, to the Admiralty. Covering letter for the indenture of John Wilson his apprentice and requests his discharge.
Folios 283-284: enclosure with folios 273-274. Letter dated 22 March 1811 by Edward Blackstock, Vestry Clerk, Liverpool and Thomas Blackstock, Temple, Liverpool, to the Admiralty. Memorial of Thomas Gilmore of Liverpool, Bricklayer. States that Thomas Lamb the Son of Hannah Hatwood by a former Husband is bound as an Apprentice. Request he be discharged.
Folio 285: enclosure with folios 273-274. Certificate dated 16 March 1811, signed George [?] Physician & Surgeon.
Folio 286: enclosure with folios 273-274. Certificate dated 16 March 1811, signed S Bromley. Certificate that Thomas Lamb is not fit to be employed in any situation as he is liable to Epileptic Fits.
Folios 287-288: enclosure with folios 273-274. Hannah Harwood. Affidavit sworn before Thomas Molyneux, Justice of the Peace, Liverpool. Dated 16 March 1811. Hannah Harwood wife of James Harwood of Liverpool aforesaid Labourer made oath that Thomas Lamb (her Son by a former Husband, now deceased) is afflicted with falling fits.
Folio 289:enclosure with folios 273-274. Thomas Gilmore affidavit sworn before James Drinkwater Mayor of Liverpool. Dated 12 March 1811. That Thomas Gilmore of Liverpool, Bricklayer that Thomas Lamb is an apprentice to him and that the said Thomas Gilmore for the remainder of a Term of Seven years.
