Description

Folios 258-259: Donald M'Leod [Donald MacLeod], Regulating Officer, Liverpool. Reply to letter dated 21 March 1811 respecting George Morin, George Campbell, Robert Chambers & Thomas Hardy. He states (1) The name George Morin does not appear on the Books at the Rendezvous. (2) George Campbell was impressed by Lieutenant Thomas Evans on 9 March 1811 as an Able Seaman aged 25 born in Scotland. He said he was Mate of a Schooner he was taken on shore at eleven o'clock at night. (3) The case of Robert Chambers was stated in his letter dated 21 March 1811. [(4)] The name of Thomas Hardy does not appear on the Books at the Rendezvous.

Folios 260-261: enclosure with folios 258-259. Letter dated 19 March 1811 by John Topham, Liverpool, to the Admiralty. States that at the desire of friends of George Campbell now on HMS Princess request he be discharged on such terms as they think proper and require.

Folios 262-263: enclosure with folios 258-259. Letter dated 20 March 1811 by Robert Chambers C/o William Oalens, No, 29 Maydon Street, to the Admiralty. Petition of Robert Chambers Landsman on HMS Princess requests his discharge by them paying a sum of money.

Folios 264-265: enclosure with folios 258-259. Letter dated 20 March 1811 by Sarah Hardy, Church Street, Manchester, to the Admiralty. Requests the discharge of her Son Thomas Hardy.

Folio 266:enclosure with folios 258-259. Copy Certificate of Christening of Thomas Hardy, Son of David Hardy and Sarah of Devonport, dated 8 July 1798. Signed Joseph Brookes, Chaplain. Dated 17 March 1811.
