Folios 256-257: Keith Maxwell, 23 Norfolk Street, Strand. Requests the reconsideration of his Petition set forth in his letter of 29 September 1808 and subsequently, respecting considerable expences incured by the damage HMS Portsmouth had sustained by an accident occassioned entirely by the indespensible absence of the Officer in Charge, at the Admiralty with dispatches and important information respecting the proceeding of a Squadron of the Enemy of Seven Sail of the Line on the Coast of Africa & adjacent Islands; when Senior Officer on that Station; and which he had dispatched in the vessel for their Lordships information.
